SSP students come from all across New York City to attend our partner schools and with them they bring a myriad of interests and strengths. From musical instruments to sports to the dramatic arts, SSP students contribute to their school communities in amazing ways.
SSP Junior Jeremiah Nelson started this football season as a linebacker for Holy Cross. His coach, however, noticed that Jeremiah may have been better suited as a running back. After making this switch, Jeremiah truly began to shine.
In an incredibly important game against Holy Cross rival St. Francis Prep, Nelson rushed over 200 yards, including an astounding 97-yard touchdown. These plays, along with the hard work of his teammates, lead Holy Cross to victory that night.
We at SSP wanted to congratulate Jeremiah on his success! We can’t wait to see what happens during the rest of the season.
