What does being an SSP student mean to you?
Being an SSP student means being part of something bigger than myself. Because of SSP I have the opportunity to have a better future. SSP has opened so many doors for me, and has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people– teachers, classmates, and my awesome mentor, Renee.
How is your current school different than your middle school?
Going to St. Jeans is so different from my middle school. The school is so small so I feel like I am getting a lot of attention from the teachers, and I believe that I am being prepared well to go to college after I graduate.
What does it mean to you to have a mentor?
My mentor Renee has been someone who has encouraged, helped, guided, and supported me through the roller coaster of high school. I feel like she is someone who I want to make proud. I have been so fortunate to have been able to create a bond with Renee, because without her help my life would not have the bright future it does now.
What are your goals for the next few years of high school?
I hope to finish up high school strong, and after high school I want to attend a good college. My goal is to study business and hopefully own my own business one day.
