What does being an SSP student mean to you?
Being an SSP student means a lot to me. It is very encouraging to know that people care about me, want to help me, and want to see me succeed. Also, SSP has given me the chance to go to a great high school like La Salle– something that would have been impossible for me without SSP.
How is your current school different than your middle school?
Being in an SSP school is very different than my middle school. I have found that my teachers care a lot about my success and really help me do well, and my classmates are much more focused.
What does it mean to have a mentor?
Having a mentor like Nichale means so much. In addition to having a good school and teachers to look out for me, I have a mentor to help me succeed in school. It is really nice to have another person to look up to in my life.
What are your goals for the next few years of high school?
My main goal for the next three years of high school is to be an honor roll student. I also want to continue to play basketball on my school’s team, and I hope to go to college following my graduation.
