Student Sponsor Partners is celebrating the Thirteenth Annual Founder’s Dinner on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at The Pierre New York. This year we are thrilled to honor Colm Kelleher, Co-President of Morgan Stanley Institutional Securities and Head of East Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific. Since SSP’s founding in 1986, 928 Morgan Stanley employees have sponsored or mentored SSP students, with 194 currently involved with the program.
Colm Kelleher is a member of Morgan Stanley’s Operating Committee. Prior to assuming his current role in January 2010, Mr. Kelleher served as the Firm’s Chief Financial Officer and Co-Head of Corporate Strategy from October 2007 to December 2009. He was Head of Global Capital Markets from February 2006 to October 2007. Prior to 2006, Mr. Kelleher was Co-Head of Fixed Income Europe and Head of Fixed Income Sales Europe. He served as a member of the European Management Committee and also on the board of Morgan Stanley International Limited. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1989, was promoted to Vice President in 1990, became a Principal in 1992 and was elected Managing Director in 1996. Mr. Kelleher was born on May 30, 1957. He graduated with an M.A. degree in history from Oxford University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
As a member of SSP’s Chairman’s Committee and a strong supporter of SSP, Mr. Kelleher is also representative of the base of SSP support at Morgan Stanley.
