Student Sponsor Partners’
  Founder’s Dinner

The sixteenth annual event, which occurred on Thursday, April 16, 2015, was emceed by Board Chairman, Christopher Niehaus, and Executive Director, Denise Durham Williams. Over 400 donors, sponsors, mentors, and their guests gathered at the Pierre Hotel to celebrate SSP’s longtime partnership with Goldman, Sachs & Co., the recipient of the 2015 Founder’s Award. The Goldman Sachs Gives donor-advised fund and 350 of the firm’s employees have generously contributed $7MM toward SSP students’ academic success. In addition, nearly 750 Goldman Sachs employees have served as mentors to SSP students.

At the end of the evening, featured guest and legendary Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera made remarks regarding the importance of supporting youth and education. He is the Founder of The Mariano Rivera Foundation, which is devoted to supporting youth success in communities around the world. The event raised over $2 million, which supports SSP’s invaluable work to help low income students reach their full potential through academic scholarships.

Please join us on April 21, 2016 for the Seventeenth Annual Founder’s Dinner celebrating SSP’s 30th anniversary. We are thrilled to announce that the evening will feature special guest Tom Coughlin, President of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation and Two-time Super Bowl Winning NFL Head Coach.
