The  Fourteenth Annual Founder’s Dinner Was a Success!

Excitement was in the air on the night of April 18 as more than 300 guests– both longtime SSP supporters and people new to the organization– came out to celebrate SSP, its students, and its generous supporters at Student Sponsor Partners’ Fourteenth Annual Founder’s Dinner.

This year marked another success for the Founder’s Dinner, where we honored past and present members of the SSP Board.  We thank everyone who so generously contributed to helping the dinner raise more than $1.2 million.

The evening’s program included a medley of songs from the Cristo Rey Chorus;  SSP Board Member Jerry Wood MC’d the evening and introduced the three speakers: Jim Healy, Student Sponsor Partners’ Chairman of the Board; Kenneth Hicks, 2011 SSP graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School and current student at Columbia University; and Shalia Garnett, SSP senior at Mother Cabrini High School. Each speaker recognized the transformative power that SSP can have on the lives of under-served high school students in New York City.
